Ads Manager shows the daily budget spent by 10 am. The afternoon is dark. Sales still wants leads after lunch.
A daily budget is a weekly average, not an hourly cap. Accelerated delivery can empty it in under an hour. A morning-only schedule still tries to spend the day in those hours.
Switch accelerated delivery to standard, keep the ad set eligible all day unless hours are a real constraint, and do not add a morning budget-scheduling boost if leftover spend at 3 pm is the goal.
Why the budget can be gone by 10 am
Meta's pacing help describes budget pacing and bid pacing working together. The point is leftover budget later in the schedule, not a promise that 9 am and 4 pm get equal spend.
Auction prices change through the day. Cheap morning inventory can eat a small daily amount before lunch, even when delivery is trying to pace. That is auction math, not proof the campaign is broken.
Accelerated delivery and learning
Meta's daily budget help calls out accelerated delivery by name. It is designed to spend the budget as quickly as possible. It can spend it in less than an hour.
If the ad set still uses accelerated delivery, switch to standard. If the editor no longer shows that choice, delivery is already on the standard path, and the 10 am dump has a different cause.
Learning is the other aggressive window. After a new ad set, or after a significant edit such as a bid or budget change, Meta may deliver more aggressively to find who is likely to convert. Costs can run higher and the budget can go faster until delivery stabilizes.
The Delivery column reads Learning during that period. Do not stack more budget edits at 10:15 to "fix" it. Those edits can restart exploration.
Daily budget is not an hourly cap
A daily budget is an approximate amount across a calendar week, Sunday through Saturday. Spend can sit above the daily number on some days and below it on others. Meta still applies daily and weekly spending limits overall.
Some accounts also get extra daily flexibility. On days with better opportunities, Meta may spend up to 75 percent over the daily budget, and not more than seven times that daily amount in a week. A campaign shorter than seven days is capped at daily budget times the number of days it runs.
Ad set budget sharing can move even more. Meta may share up to 20 percent of a flexible daily budget with other ad sets in the campaign when it expects a better overall result. That is a campaign setting, not a glitch in the 10 am chart.
Slow the morning without starving the afternoon
Fix the setting that is actually emptying the day. Unchecking placements to "save budget" is a different problem, covered in when to use Advantage+ placements instead of manual targeting.
- Confirm delivery is standard, not accelerated. Accelerated can spend the budget in less than an hour.
- Check Delivery for Learning. Aggressive exploration can empty a small daily budget before noon.
- Open Delivery scheduling. If ads only run in the morning, the daily amount has nowhere else to go.
- Look for budget scheduling high-demand windows that raise morning spend on purpose.
- Read today's spend against the weekly cap, not against the 10 am clock.
Delivery scheduling is the daypart. At the ad set, under Delivery scheduling, choose Scheduled and pick the hours ads may run. Meta requires at least one hour.
Those hours are eligibility, not a drip. A 7 am to 10 am window still tries to spend the daily amount in three hours. Standard pacing cannot save budget for 3 pm if the ad set is not allowed to run then.
Keep ads eligible through the afternoon if leftover budget is the goal. Use a tight morning window only when the business cannot take leads later, and accept that the daily amount will concentrate there.
Budget scheduling is the opposite tool. Meta's budget scheduling help says it raises spend in peak windows on a daily budget.
High-demand periods must be at least three hours, and the increase cannot exceed eight times the daily budget. A morning boost will not leave money for 3 pm.
Do not slash the daily budget at 5 pm because the chart already looks high. Meta warns that a late-day cut may arrive after spend has already passed the new number. Change the setting for tomorrow, not as a same-day rewind.
Advantage+ campaign budget can also dump most of the campaign into one ad set. That is how it hunts the cheapest results, not proof the other ad set is paused. Set ad set spend limits only if a named share is required.
What a 10 am empty budget will not tell you
Empty by late morning is not proof the offer is bad, and it is not a blank Instant Form phone. Pacing is a delivery setting. Creative and lead quality still need their own checks.
Standard delivery will not freeze spend at one-twelfth of the daily budget each hour. There is no hourly hard cap in the daily budget. Judge the week, then the hours the ad set is actually eligible to run.

I write from work I have done on real sites. Search products change, and a step that was right when I published can go stale. I can also be wrong about the method.
If you disagree with the approach, the facts, or the outcome, I want the detail. Tell me what is off, what you would do instead, and where you saw it. I use that to correct the post so the next reader is not stuck.
